Borrowed from the ‘WhatsApp’ emoji repertoire, as an immaterial lovers’s currency, the tulip works also as the symbol for ‘tulip mania’ - the first financial speculative bubble in history. Here the emoji becomes hyper material, etched using four plates to render each colour, its silhouette is embossed onto the paper.
